Ever wonder why adults always say that the younger generation (or rather, teenagers/young people) are hopeless? Okay, maybe not all, but it still refers to a large population though. In the past, I would have reacted quite defensively to that statement, and most likely I'll say that adults just don't understand us at all, thus the generation gap. But recently, I've to agree with it. I mean, the teenagers nowadays are just making a public nuisance of themselves -inserts head shakes here- and it's hard not to get annoyed or even disgusted. For instance, they like to play MP3 songs on their handphones for the whole world to hear; displaying great big shows of public affection, yadda yadda. I'm sure you can think of many more examples along that line. We don't need to know your taste in music, nor the fact that you're so in love with each other (Actually, I kind of doubt that, but never mind) and just can't wait to get somewhere private so you can grope each other.

Frankly speaking, I'm not jealous or anything - but I do find it quite irritating when I'm trying to read my notes on the bus and suddenly this loud blast of singing had to materialise. -.- Besides, being Chinese (I'm not saying PDA is limited to Chinese), I still believe that we need to have a certain sense of decorum and knowing when and what and what not to do when we're in the public eye. No wonder the adults are losing confidence in us. Or is it that they never even have any in the first place? Looks like education may indeed be failing us after all.

Anyway, just wanted to vent. No offense intended to anyone. Ciao~
