Happy Valentine's cum Friendship Day to all!
I came to realise that Vday isn't really that special after all, despite all those stores selling roses, chocolates and what-nots, and the Vday decorations all over the place. Maybe it was because he wasn't right there with me, but at some far out and ulu place having field camp. Like what the.... And so coincidentally on Vday itself too! Grr. I've already griped and complained enough, so I shall save you the crap here. Heh. Anyway, as thay always say, if two persons are truly in love, everyday's Valentine's Day. True, but it gives people a special reason to do something sweet and thoughtful for his/her other half, doesn't it? And it seems like uni's a place to advocate courtships, what with the profs' incessant urgings and encouragements for people to get attached. Haa. Felt quite amused whenever that topic popped up. =p By the way, special thanks to XW for your rose. It attracted quite alot of unwanted stares, as a matter of fact. I wonder what was the big deal, cos people were making me feel weird walking around with a rose but I had a perfectly valid reason to! Haa. Anyway, sorry for not preparing any gifts. Was too engrossed in I-can't-remember-what to buy stuff for my friends. =p
The rose which attracted so much attention. Bah.
As I was saying above, since we couldn't manage to celebrate on the day itself, we had an early celebration on Sun (12/2). Here's the gift he gave me:
Sweet and pretty! (Apologies for the grainy pic eh=p)
When I reached home from his house, I suddenly remembered that there was going to be a Chingay procession that night which I had forgotten cleanly about. So everything was over by then. But I still managed to catch a bit of the fireworks. It was quite pretty, albeit too short. Wanted to take pictures but it was already too late by the time I got ready. Haa.
Anyway, guess that's all for now. Till then, tata~
Happy Vday darl! Heh. Take care in camp ya. (:
